Frequent urination, increased nocturnal urination, urination pain? May be caused by prostate hypertrophy
Is prostatic hypertrophy related to me? Many men think that prostate hypertrophy is far away from them. In fact, it is very common in male diseases. So, what are the causes, symptoms and hazards of prostatic hypertrophy?
The cause of prostatic hypertrophy?
The causes of prostatic hypertrophy can be divided into pathological and non-pathological ones. The pathogenesis of pathological prostatic hypertrophy is caused by hyperplasia of epithelial cells and stroma in the inner urethral gland and suburethral gland of the prostate, cystic expansion of acini, connective tissue and smooth muscle ganglion-like hyperplasia.
Non-pathologic reasons: Excessive libido can also lead to hypertrophy of the prostate. Its typical symptoms are discomfort in the perineum, groin, testicles, low back pain, frequent urination, burning and stinging of the urethral orifice and secretion.
Symptoms of prostatic hypertrophy?
The frequency of urination is an early signal of BPH, especially the increase in the number of nocturnal urination is of clinical significance. The disease has three main characteristics: enlargement of prostate volume, obstruction of bladder outlet, difficulty in urination, frequent urination, urgency of urination and other lower urinary tract symptoms.
1. Dysuria
The main manifestation is dysuria, including frequent urination, urgency, dysuria, incontinence, acute urinary retention, hematuria, etc.
2. Complications caused by dysuria
Complications caused by dysuria, such as hernia, hemorrhoids, anal prolapse, varicose veins of lower limbs, emphysema, etc.
3. Late symptoms
Nitrogenemia, acidosis, hypertension, anorexia, anemia and emaciation, even heart failure and cerebrovascular disease symptoms caused by renal function loss and failure.
The harm of prostatic hypertrophy?
1. Uremia
Prostate hypertrophy may cause kidney damage and even uremia.
2. Infection
Patients with prostatic hypertrophy often have urinary retention. The residual urine in the bladder is like a pool of stagnant water. Once bacteria multiply, it will cause uncontrollable infection.
3. Urinary retention and incontinence
Urinary retention can occur at any stage of the disease. Excessive residual urine can make the bladder lose its contractility, and the urine retained in the bladder gradually increases. When the bladder is excessively inflated, urine will overflow from the urethral orifice unconsciously. This kind of incontinence is called filling incontinence and must be treated urgently.
4. Leading to sexual dysfunction
Prostatic hypertrophy can lead to the excitability of sexual nerve damage, spermatorrhea, premature ejaculation and other symptoms, and even impotence or even loss of sexual function.
5. Induce cancer
Prostate hypertrophy will lead to the decline of the immunity of the prostate, the reduction of the antibacterial ability, and the increase of the chance of bacterial infection. Long-term inflammation or hyperplasia will also lead to prostate cancer. It is the most harmful factor of prostate hypertrophy.
