The reasons why prostatitis is prone to recurrence:
1、 Special 'geographical location'
The prostate is a glandular organ in the male genitourinary system. From an anatomical perspective, it is adjacent to the seminal vesicle, vas deferens, ureter, bladder, and rectum. Therefore, prostatitis is often secondary to inflammation in other organs of the genitourinary system, often occurring simultaneously with seminal vesiculitis. Due to the connection between the urethra and the outside world, various bacteria can easily enter the prostate through the urethral opening and cause infection.
2、 Delaying the condition and becoming 'chronic'
Acute prostatitis without timely treatment can evolve into chronic prostatitis, where bacteria are often difficult to completely kill and are prone to "resurgence". Some patients even have small stones forming in the prostate, which are generally not easily eliminated by medication. The obstruction of the glandular ducts caused by stones can cause recurrent prostatitis.
3、 The etiology is not yet clear
Some prostatitis is not caused by bacterial infections, and is medically referred to as non bacterial prostatitis. Mycoplasma, chlamydia, or autoimmune diseases may all be one of the causes. If antibiotics are used for treatment, patients will become victims of indiscriminate use of antibiotics and will not recover for a long time.
4、 Blindly superstitious drugs
Some patients completely rely on or are superstitious about the effects of drugs, unaware that the foundation of the disease is a decrease in immunity and resistance. They do not pay attention to strengthening physical exercise, adjusting their lifestyle, excessive sexual activity, burning midnight oil and playing mahjong, and excessive drinking, all of which can make prostatitis difficult to cure.
5、 Neglecting sexual partner treatment
Some patients with prostatitis caused by sexually transmitted diseases only know how to seek medical attention and neglect the examination and treatment of their sexual partners, resulting in a vicious cycle of infection treatment reinfection treatment.
