1. Allergic dermatitis
Some men may experience allergic symptoms in their genitals, such as paroxysmal itching and discomfort, after wearing chemical fiber underwear, using condoms or contraceptive creams. Additionally, camphor ointment, Fuxin ointment, and other ointments can be used for external application.
2. Pubic lice
The pubic lice are one of the sexually transmitted diseases. In the area they parasitize, they use their mouthparts to pierce the skin and suck blood. After sucking blood, their mouthparts remain in the skin, causing local pain and itching. During treatment, local application of traditional Chinese medicine Baibu alcohol infusion can generally cure after 1 week. At the same time, sexual activity should be stopped and underwear, bed sheets, and bedding should be frequently boiled.
3. Scrotal scabies
Due to scabies mite infection, dark red nodules of soybean size appear on the skin of the scrotum, with a smooth surface, clear edges, and local itching. The disease can last for several months. During treatment, 5% sulfur cream and triamcinolone acetonide cream can be alternately applied to the affected area, 2-4 times a day. Generally, recovery can be achieved after 7 days.
4. Tinea cruris
It is commonly seen on the upper and inner sides of the buttocks and thighs, but often invades the penis. Initially, it is a small papule with itching, and then expands to form a circular protrusion at the edge. There is an uneven circular or polymorphic skin lesion in the center, accompanied by symptoms of peeling. During treatment, drugs with strong irritation should not be used. Generally, clotrimazole or dactyline ointment can be used externally.
5. Candidal balanitis
Dry and peeling of the foreskin of the penis or erythematous and scaly rash, itching. During treatment, zinc chloride can be mixed with water to clean and relieve itching. The method is to pour the lotion into a bowl and shake it well. Use a soft bristle brush dipped in medicine to brush the affected area, every 1-2 hours.
6. Fixed drug eruption
Often caused by oral sulfa, painkillers, etc., it manifests as a circular plaque at the glans penis, with varying sizes, a central purple red swelling, and a surrounding red color. Local itching or burning sensation can occur, and in severe cases, it can develop into blisters, which can rupture and form a damp and rotting surface. After the onset of the disease, relevant drugs should be stopped immediately. For mild cases, antibiotic ointment should be used externally, and anti allergic treatment should be taken orally. For severe cases, patients should go to the hospital for treatment.
