The prepuce edema is mainly due to the blockage of blood flow caused by cutting off part of the venous blood tubes and tight bandage during the operation. It may also be due to the incomplete incision of a part of the prepuce itself, which causes the blockage of venous blood flow after the operation, resulting in edema.
Examination of prepuce edema:
1. Examination and test: Candida balanitis can be found by microscopic examination or culture on the diseased balanosis and foreskin. Trichomonad balanitis can be found on the secretion.
2. Dyeing examination: Gram staining method, Congo red staining or PAS staining method are also used for microscopic examination, and the positive rate is higher than that of direct microscopic examination. Gram staining, spores and pseudohyphae dyed blue: Congo red and PAS staining, spores and pseudohyphae will be dyed red.
3. Isolation and culture: patients with negative smear can be cultured by candida. Under aseptic conditions, inoculate the tested sample on Sabouraud's medium. During inoculation, the test tube medium can be cut a little obliquely. Inoculate 2-3 times per tube, and inoculate 2 tubes per sample.
Incubate the culture medium in a 37 ℃ incubator for 24-48 hours and then observe it. A large number of milky white colonies can be seen growing. Use the inoculation needle to pick up a small number of colony smears, and directly or after staining, a large number of spores can be seen. The initial diagnosis is Candida infection.
