Varicocele is a common cause of male infertility, commonly seen in men of childbearing age. It is a vascular disease that accounts for 40% of infertile men, indicating its importance. Therefore, we should not ignore varicocele and seek timely treatment. Otherwise, in addition to causing infertility, it can also lead to other complications.
The complications caused by varicocele include:
1: Increased pressure in the spermatic vein.
When varicocele occurs, blood stasis in the venous plexus around the testicles leads to an increase in venous pressure, which hinders testicular metabolism. The waste from testicular metabolism is not easily excreted, which hinders sperm production.
2: The impact of toxic substances.
When varicocele occurs, the blood from the left renal vein flows back to the left internal spermatic vein. Therefore, the metabolites of the adrenal gland may reflux into the spermatic veins and have a toxic effect on the spermatogenic epithelium of the testes.
3: CO2 accumulation in testicular tissue.
When varicocele occurs, the blood return of testicular vein is blocked and detained, which affects the blood circulation in the testis, leading to the accumulation of CO2 in the blood, thus interfering with the normal metabolism of the testis and affecting spermatogenesis.
4: The testicular temperature increases.
When varicocele occurs, the testicular temperature increases due to the lack of good venous return in the testicles. The occurrence and growth of sperm require a specific temperature environment, so it is not suitable for this temperature increase, and sperm production is hindered.
5: Inhibit the endocrine function of the testes.
Varicocele can damage the interstitial cells of the testes, affect the secretion of testosterone, and thus affect spermatogenic function.
Through the above introduction, everyone knows that there are still many complications of varicocele. Therefore, patients with varicocele must seek timely treatment at the hospital after discovering symptoms. Patients should choose a formal and professional hospital for examination and diagnosis, do not have too much psychological burden, maintain a good mood, and achieve early prevention, early detection, and early treatment.
