In the middle of winter, many fitness lovers still insist on outdoor exercise. Wu Yuewei, director of the Department of Pain, Xinqiao Hospital, Third Military Medical University, reminded that three principles should be followed when exercising outdoors in winter: warm up fully, exercise moderately, and pay attention to water and warm up, otherwise it may damage your health.
First, we should fully warm up. Wu Yuewei said that in the cold winter, the extensibility and elasticity of human ligaments, tendons and muscles are reduced, and the range of motion of joints is reduced. If the warm-up activities are not fully performed, it is easy to cause joint sprain, muscle strain and other sports injuries.
Second, the amount of exercise should be moderate. Wu Yuewei suggested that aerobic exercise is the best way to exercise in winter, and the best time for each exercise is 20 minutes to 1 hour. People with weak physical strength should choose sports with less intensity.
Third, pay attention to replenish water and clothes. Attention should be paid to replenish water in time before and after exercise. It is better to drink boiled water or sports drinks, not hot coffee or chocolate, because caffeine will cause rapid dehydration of the body.
Wu Yuewei also reminded that after exercise, the body's pores expand due to sweating, which is easy to take advantage of the invasion of cold air. Therefore, it is necessary to dry the sweat in time and change clothes, pay attention to keeping warm and prevent disease.
