Normal men usually excrete 2-3 ml of semen at a time. If less than 1 ml, it is called too little semen.
Too little semen can make sperm lose vitality and lead to infertility. Statistics show that infertility caused by too little semen accounts for 1.8% of male infertility.
Why is there too little semen? The main reasons are:
1、 Decreased testicular function and endocrine disorder lead to incomplete development of epididymis, prostate and seminal vesicles, resulting in insufficient secretion of semen.
2、 Urinary and reproductive system infections, such as prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, and tuberculosis, lead to decreased semen.
3、 Damage to the vas deferens caused by tumor or cyst of seminal vesicle, urethral stricture, urethral diverticulum or genital tract surgery will also reduce semen volume.
4、 Too frequent ejaculation is also one of the reasons for low semen.
If it belongs to the first three reasons, you need to go to the hospital for examination and treatment. If the lack of semen is simply caused by excessive ejaculation, there is no need to worry,
Just pay attention to rest, appropriately reduce the frequency of roommates, and adjust psychology and mood.
Expert opinion: semen is not much but "essence"
Less sperm, not necessarily less sperm
Ejaculation is a normal sexual function of men. Occasionally, excessive or too little semen discharge cannot be regarded as abnormal.
Semen is composed of sperm and seminal plasma, more than 90% of which is seminal plasma, and sperm only accounts for a small part, about 1%. The seminal plasma is secreted by the prostate, seminal vesicle, bulbar urethral gland, paraurethral gland and other accessory gonads, and the main components are water, fat, protein particles and other components. A healthy and mature man usually excretes 2 to 6 milliliters of semen each time. If the sperm volume changes slightly, it will not affect the sperm quantity. That is to say, less sperm sometimes does not necessarily mean less sperm. A normal male is considered to have too little semen only when the amount of ejaculated semen is less than 1ml.
Too much sperm output in men is also a disease
If a man's sperm output is more than 7 ml per time, it is also a pathological condition, which needs to be paid attention to. What causes excessive sperm excretion? It is mainly caused by seminal vesicle inflammation and pituitary gonadotropin hypersecretion.
However, the sperm excretion increased, but the total number of sperm did not change. The only change was that the secretion or exudation of seminal plasma increased. That is to say, the appearance of this condition will reduce the sperm density in the semen, and will also make the semen with sperm more easily drain from the vagina, thus affecting the chance of pregnancy.
