Eating whole Chinese chives is rich in nutrients, including proteins, sugars, fats, vitamins, minerals, and sulfides. It is not only delicious, but also a good medicine for curing diseases. According to the Compendium of Materia Medica, leeks have the effects of tonifying the liver and kidneys, warming the waist and knees, and strengthening yang and essence. According to "The Illustrated Classic of Materia Medica", leeks are said to be the warmest and most beneficial among vegetables, and should be eaten regularly. Leeks can be used as medicine throughout the body. Leek seed can "tonify the kidney and liver, warm the waist and knees, treat impotence, drenching turbidity, and diarrhea", while leek yellow can treat "chest pain, food accumulation, abdominal pain, hematemesis, bruises, and psoriasis". Leek leaves (mostly used for mashing juice) are used to treat "hiccups, nausea, dysentery, bloody urine, hemorrhoids, and thirst". There are many folk remedies for treating diseases with leeks. Here are some examples for reference.
Sperm emission: 5 grams of leek seeds, 50 grams of japonica rice, and an appropriate amount of refined salt. First stir fry the leek seeds with a gentle fire, and then cook them with the cleaned japonica rice and salt. Add 500ml of water, boil them with a warm fire, and then boil them with a gentle fire to make porridge. Take 1-2 times a day and eat warm.
Premature ejaculation: 60 grams of leek, 100 grams of japonica rice, and an appropriate amount of salt. After Congee is boiled, add leek or leek seed powder. Then boil some salt into Congee and take it warm.
