Prostatic hypertrophy is a frequent occurrence among men, especially elderly friends. Hyperplasia of the prostate can oppress the urethra, causing great pain to elderly patients. Because the symptoms of prostate hypertrophy gradually develop, early detection is particularly important.
、 Frequency of urination: Frequency of urination is a major symptom in the early stages of prostate hypertrophy, especially increased nocturnal urination. Patients can urinate 2 to 5 times or more every night. This is because prostate hyperplasia causes posterior urethral infarction, which hinders normal urination, making it impossible to completely drain the urine in the bladder every time they urinate. There is always a small amount of urine remaining in the bladder, which reduces the volume of the bladder. Therefore, not long after the previous urination, there will be a tendency to urinate again, resulting in frequent urination.
、 "Effort in urination: Another symptom in the early stages of prostate hypertrophy is difficulty in urinating, especially when it takes a lot of time to urinate, and the urine that is excreted is very thin, with a very short distance to the outside."; "When some patients urinate, due to holding their breath for too long and needing to exhale, the flow of urine is interrupted with the decrease in abdominal pressure. It takes another effort to continue urinating, resulting in intermittent urination.". These all indicate that hyperplasia of the prostate has produced a certain degree of pressure on the urethra.
、 Hematuria: The phenomenon of hematuria that occurs in the early stages of prostate hypertrophy because the hyperplastic prostate is in a hyperemic state. When urinating vigorously, it can cause rupture of surface blood vessels and bleeding.
、 Hyperlibido: In the early stages of prostate hypertrophy, patients may exhibit increased libido that does not match their age, or they may have a consistent and normal libido that suddenly becomes intense. This is often due to hyperplasia of the prostate, which leads to dysfunction of the prostate and feedback to temporary enhancement of testicular function.
