Interesting Tale on Men's Psychology: Are Men Charming and More selfish? Although selfish men seem to be disliked by no one, you should know that the more good-looking a man is, the higher his charm value is, and he is more likely to be selfish. This is actually supported by data.
Researchers have found that attractive men are less generous and less likely to endorse egalitarianism. However, these characteristics do not appear in attractive women.
To investigate how attractiveness affects a person's attitude and behavior towards inequality and selfishness, the research team used a three-dimensional body scanner to measure the bodies of 63 men and 62 women. Based on the participants' body measurement data (male data including waist to chest ratio; female data including waist to hip ratio and slimming degree), the researchers evaluated their physical attractiveness with scores.
Participants also completed a personality survey questionnaire, based on which they obtained information on their attitudes and behaviors towards selfishness and inequality. As an additional measure, the researchers also distributed a certain amount of money to them and asked them how much money they wanted to share. The results showed that compared to men with lower attractiveness scores, men with higher attractiveness scores were more selfish, while women's attractiveness scores were not significantly related to their generosity.
This research result indicates that when it comes to competition for social status, attractive individuals are more likely to dominate, which means they will gain more benefits by supporting social inequality.
Of course, many people know that handsome men always make people feel difficult to approach, but you know that such men are sometimes eager to be accepted by others. So of course, if you are also sincere towards others, they will also like you.
