Extramarital Love: The "Black Day" Created by Koreans
Those lonely men and women who have not found love wear black clothes, wear black hats, and eat black Zhajiangmian
On April 14th, which has just passed, it was the "Black Day" created by Koreans, which belongs to single people without the warmth of love. On the same day, a lone man and a widowed woman in black went into the restaurant to eat a bowl of black Zhajiangmian, with their inner pain and sorrow.
Valentine's Day is like a barrage of fireworks
In Korean, "lover" refers to a person who is in love or married, which is approximately equivalent to a Chinese lover plus a lover. And 'lover' instead refers to the object of extramarital love, which is equivalent to the original meaning of a lover in Chinese. When it comes to Valentine's Day in China, there is always a semantic ambiguity. But in South Korea, the meaning of Valentine's Day is very clear and has nothing to do with extramarital affairs. On February 14th, Valentine's Day, most Chinese men give gifts to women; In South Korea, it is a day when women give gifts to men, mainly candy or chocolate, as well as ties.
When I first came to South Korea, I really sighed about it. I said that in the country where male chauvinism is prevalent, being a man is happiness, and even celebrating Valentine's Day is when women please men. Later on, I realized that Valentine's Day gifts were nothing more than bait given by women to men: March 14th, White Man's Day, a month later, was the day when men made ends meet.
According to the unspoken rule of reciprocity in the country, if a woman gives you a gift of 10000 yuan, it is difficult to repay her with another 10000 yuan. At least double it to be decent.
On April 14th, it had little to do with the lovers. This is "Black Man's Day" - a bachelor's day without a boyfriend or girlfriend. In fact, only those who are old enough to ask for love and marriage will get together to eat noodles with a runny nose and tears. Therefore, that day is also called "Black Zhajiangmian Day".
Wear a black hat and eat black noodles
In South Korea, Zhajiangmian are black and yellow buckwheat noodles in a sea bowl, covered with brown and red thick bean paste. Carefully distinguish with your eyes and tongue, you can also find minced meat, mushrooms, scallions, and carrots in it. When Zhajiangmian are served, the Korean sister-in-law will smile and give you a pair of refined steel scissors to teach you to cut a thin, long and hard lump of noodles for entrance.
This year's Black Man's Day, I pestered a Korean colleague to take me to see how this festival was actually celebrated. I think it would be a very enjoyable scene to meet several tables of such guests in a certain restaurant. My colleague smiled and said, 'Who would be in the mood to be so ostentatious about someone who cannot marry or cannot marry?'?
On that day, we set out from the Guanghua Gate in the center of Seoul to the South Gate, where the last fire was burning. We visited more than a dozen restaurants and many people ate fried noodles, but we were not sure which group was celebrating the "Black Day". Most of them have lively conversations and cheerful expressions.
At a Chinese restaurant on the left side of the west gate, I actually found a table of men and women, each in their thirties, buried in their heads and eating noodles, some of whom were wearing black hats. I think this group of people should be there, but they are afraid of embarrassment and dare not come forward to investigate. From a distance, some people have put several empty bowls beside them. Maybe the strong smell of fried sauce noodles can really dilute their bitterness.
Wrap Love in "" Packaging
As "Black Man's Day" gradually becomes the climate, the support team is like a snowball rolling bigger and bigger. This year, some people launched the "Speed dating" night to pair men and women and dye their sushi black with cuttlefish juice. At the same time, the movie ticket website also funded a competition to eat Zhajiangmian, encouraging the audience to buy single tickets.
In fact, as Koreans celebrate Valentine's Day, the scope of application is becoming increasingly broad. I heard from a friend that on April 14th, Korean college students who didn't have a romantic partner for lunch would also buy a bowl of black noodles and sit with other singles to eat while searching for opportunities to develop a romantic relationship. In this way, "Black Day" has become a cultural symbol among young people.
As a result, shrewd Korean businessmen have designated the 14th of each month as a love festival, in addition to "Black Man's Day", there is also "Green Man's Day" on August 14th. On that day, the lovers would drink green bottled wine and meet for a walk in the forest. Actually, everyone knows that this is exactly like the so-called "White Day", "Black Day" and other people's festivals, designed by businesses to promote their products.
However, Koreans are still eager to be "deceived" every year, indicating that the necessary sales tactics are no longer targeted, but rather warm service.
