What should women pay attention to when taking rings? Instructions for precautions before and after taking the ring
When the uterine ring reaches the specified age, it must be removed from the hospital to avoid deformation or ineffectiveness within the uterus. However, there are many precautions when obtaining a ring, and a slight lack of attention may cause infections and gynecological diseases.
What should I pay attention to when obtaining a ring?
1. Choose a reputable hospital
Many women choose small clinics to get rings for cheapness, but the operation of small clinics is not standardized, which can easily lead to cross infection and cause various gynecological diseases such as pelvic inflammatory disease, urethritis, vaginitis, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to choose a regular hospital to get rings.
2. Select the ring retrieval time
For women without menopause, the IUD should be removed after 3-5 days of clean menstruation. Women who have menopause for more than 6 months or have a long menstrual cycle should remove the ring in a timely manner to avoid ring degeneration or failure. Women must pay attention to the storage of the ring in their body for a period of time. Generally, metal rings can be stored for 20 years, and copper T-rings can be stored for 10-15 years.
3. Make preparations before removing the ring
Before removing the IUD, it is necessary to go to the hospital for a comprehensive examination to see if there is any inflammatory infection. If there is an infection, anti infection treatment is required. After the inflammatory infection is cured, the IUD can be removed. You cannot wash your vagina or use vaginal medication three days before taking the ring. Take a shower and prepare a sanitary napkin on the day of removal, as there may be a small amount of bleeding after removal
4. Relax the mood
Removing the ring is only a minor surgery, and there is slight pain when removing it. Some women feel mentally nervous and uneasy, and at this time, they can take deep breaths, exercise, and relax, usually within a few minutes.
5. Keep the external genitalia clean and hygienic
After removing the ring, keep the external genitalia clean and hygienic to avoid infection. Wipe the external genitalia with warm water every night, do not abuse detergent, and strictly follow the doctor's instructions to take anti infective drugs. In addition, after taking off the ring, the body is very weak, and it is necessary to do a good job of keeping warm and avoiding the cold, while not wearing too tight pants. Rest in bed a few days before taking off the ring to avoid heavy physical labor.
6. Prohibition of sexual activity
After removing the ring, sexual activity should not be allowed for 2 weeks to avoid infection, inflammation, and gynecological diseases. If there is a need for fertility, one must be pregnant 6 months after obtaining the ring and go to the hospital for examination 3 months after obtaining the ring to ensure complete recovery of the endometrium before pregnancy.
7. Pay attention to the bleeding situation
When removing an intrauterine device, the cervix and endometrium may be stimulated to varying degrees, and there may be a small amount of bleeding or bloody vaginal discharge in the vagina, which usually disappears in about two days. When the bleeding volume exceeds the normal menstrual volume and the bleeding time exceeds 3 days, it is necessary to immediately go to the hospital for examination and treatment.
