Men are the backbone of our family, and our entire family needs a strong man. However, a family needs to be harmonious and happy. Children are the bond and expectation of the family, so a baby is very important for a family. Male infertility leads to childlessness, and the consequences are unimaginable and truly terrifying.
What are the symptoms of male infertility? Symptom 1 of male infertility: low semen volume. Under normal circumstances, a normal male ejaculates approximately 2-6ml per ejaculation, and the amount of ejaculation is related to the frequency of ejaculation. If the semen volume is less than 1ml each time, it is called oligospermia. Analysis of the causes of decreased semen: ① obstruction of the ejaculatory duct or congenital absence of seminal vesicles;
② Pituitary or testicular interstitial cell lesions, resulting in a decrease in gonadotropins or estrogen, leading to a decrease in semen production;
③ Infectious diseases of the genital tract can also cause damage to the function of accessory glands and reduce semen production.
Symptom 2 of male infertility: prolonged semen liquefaction time. Normal semen is in a liquefied state when ejaculated, and immediately forms a gel or clot. After 5 to 20 minutes in a 37 degree water bath, the semen changes from a solidified state to a liquefied state, which is called semen liquefaction. If this process exceeds 1 hour, it is called an extension of semen liquefaction time. Etiological analysis of prolonged semen liquefaction: The coagulation of semen is caused by the production of coagulation proteins in the seminal vesicles. Liquefaction is the result of a series of proteolytic enzymes, namely liquefaction factors, secreted by the prostate gland. Therefore, inflammation occurs in the prostate and seminal vesicles, causing their secretion function to be disrupted, increasing or decreasing the coagulation or liquefaction factors of semen, resulting in non liquefaction of semen. Non liquefaction of semen causes sperm to be trapped in a mucus network, hindering their ability to move in the female reproductive tract, resulting in male infertility.
Symptom 3 of male infertility: Oligospermia is generally characterized by multiple formal semen tests where the sperm count is less than 20 million/ml. It can significantly reduce the conception rate and is a common cause of male infertility.
