Ectopic pregnancy is a condition where the pregnancy position is abnormal and it is also a serious phenomenon. Special attention should be paid during pregnancy, and post pregnancy examinations should also be taken. So, what are the symptoms of ectopic pregnancy? Let's take a look together.
What is an ectopic pregnancy
Extrauterine pregnancy, also known as Ectopic pregnancy, refers to the abnormal pregnancy process in which the pregnant eggs are implanted outside the uterine cavity, and tubal pregnancy is the most common. Inflammation in or around the fallopian tube often leads to poor patency, hindering the normal operation of the pregnant egg, causing it to stay, implant, and develop in the fallopian tube, leading to miscarriage or rupture of the fallopian tube during pregnancy. There are often no obvious symptoms before miscarriage or rupture, and there may also be symptoms of amenorrhea, abdominal pain, and small amounts of vaginal bleeding. After rupture, obese women with acute abdominal pain, recurrent episodes, vaginal bleeding, and shock cannot be diagnosed clearly through multiple examinations, which can easily delay the timing of treatment and pose a serious threat.
Symptoms of Ectopic pregnancy
1. Tubal pregnancy: Tubal pregnancy accounts for about 95% of Ectopic pregnancy, with ampullary pregnancy accounting for 78%, followed by isthmus and fimbria, and interstitial pregnancy is less. The typical symptoms of tubal pregnancy are abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding after menstruation stops, and patients may also experience abdominal lumps, fainting, and shock.
2. Ovarian pregnancy: Ovarian pregnancy refers to the implantation and development of Zygote in the ovary, and the incidence rate is 1:7000-1:50000. The clinical manifestations of ovarian pregnancy are very similar to those of tubal pregnancy, with the main symptoms being cessation of menstruation, abdominal pain, and vaginal bleeding.
3. Abdominal pregnancy: Abdominal pregnancy refers to an embryo or fetus located in the abdominal cavity outside the fallopian tubes, ovaries, and ligaments. The patient has menstrual cessation and early pregnancy reactions, with unexplained anemia symptoms in early pregnancy, accompanied by abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding. Subsequently, vaginal bleeding stopped and the abdomen gradually enlarged. During fetal movement, pregnant women often experience abdominal pain, which gradually worsens as the fetus grows.
4. Cervical pregnancy: Zygote implantation and development in the cervical tube is called cervical pregnancy. The main symptoms are painless vaginal bleeding and bloody secretions, with a general amount of bleeding ranging from low to high. Intermittent vaginal bleeding can also occur in large quantities.
