What are the symptoms and types of salpingitis? How to check for inflammation in the fallopian tubes
The fallopian tube is an important part of a woman's body, and if not taken seriously, abnormalities can also occur. Salpingitis is a common disease and it is necessary to know if it is normal.
Types of salpingitis
1. Acute salpingitis: Patients with acute inflammation often experience lower abdominal pain, accompanied by fever, severe conditions, chills, high fever, and abscess formation. Patients with symptoms of lower abdominal mass and local irritation should be examined for acute symptoms, lower abdominal muscle tension, tenderness, rebound pain, gynecological examination: vaginal congestion, tenderness, fullness, purulent discharge from the cervix, cervical dilation, cervical pain, and particularly significant pressure in the attachment area on both sides of the cervix When an abscess forms, it can come into contact with cystic masses.
2. Chronic salpingitis: Patients with chronic inflammation have no obvious systemic symptoms, but symptoms worsen after lower abdominal distension, pain, lumbosacral pain, and overwork. During gynecological examination, the accessory area can come into contact with thick fallopian tubes. When there is mild tenderness, hydrosalpinx, or ovarian cysts, cystic masses can come into contact near the uterus. Chronic adnexitis with poor activity can develop acute or subacute attacks, presenting symptoms in the acute phase.
Symptoms of salpingitis
1. Infertility: The fallopian tube itself is damaged and obstructed, resulting in infertility. Secondary infertility is common.
2. Irregular menstruation: Salpingitis is characterized by frequent menstruation and excessive menstrual flow, which may be the result of pelvic congestion and ovarian dysfunction. Chronic inflammation leading to uterine fibrosis, incomplete uterine involution or abnormal uterine position caused by adhesions can all cause excessive menstruation.
3. Physiological pain: Congestion of the pelvis causes congestion, causing abdominal pain that begins one week before menstruation and worsens as the menstrual cycle approaches.
4. Abdominal pain: The main symptoms of abdominal pain in patients with salpingitis are a certain degree of pain in the lower abdomen, mostly hidden discomfort, pain, swelling, falling sensation, and fatigue in the lower back and sacrum, pelvic adhesions, and bladder rectal irritation symptoms such as full pain in the bladder and rectum or pain during emptying
5. Increased vaginal discharge: Prolonged untreated salpingitis can lead to symptoms of increased vaginal discharge, and some patients may not have conscious symptoms except for infertility.
Examination methods for salpingitis
1. CT examination: It is difficult to distinguish salpingitis from other lesions, and CT can only be detected when the fallopian tube abscess is large.
