What are the inspection items of prostatitis? Four inspections to understand the condition as soon as possible
Before treating prostatitis, patients also need to carry out a series of examination items. In order to better recover their health, what examination items do prostatitis patients need to do? Let's introduce this problem in detail.
Patients with prostatitis need to do the following tests:
1. Routine examination of EPS: The routine examination of EPS usually adopts wet picture method and blood cell counting plate method for microscopic examination, which has better accuracy. The content of white blood cells in normal prostatic fluid sediment should be less than 10 in each field of high power microscope. If the number of white blood cells in the prostatic fluid is more than 10 per field, it can be highly regarded as prostatitis, especially if fatty macrophages are found in the prostatic fluid, which can basically be diagnosed as prostatitis. However, some patients with chronic bacterial prostatic fluid may have a visual field of white blood cells in the prostatic fluid. In addition, the number of white blood cells in prostate fluid of some normal men is more than 10/field. Therefore, the examination of white blood cells in prostatic fluid is only an auxiliary method for bacteriological examination of prostatic fluid.
2. Routine urine analysis and urine sediment examination: Routine urine analysis and urine sediment examination are auxiliary methods to exclude urinary tract infection and diagnose prostatitis.
3. Bacteriological examination: two cup or four cup method is commonly used. These methods are especially applicable before antibiotic treatment. The specific method is to ask the patient to drink more water before collecting urine. If the foreskin is too long, the foreskin should be turned up. After cleaning the penis head and urethral orifice, the patient urinated and collected 10ml of urine. Continue to urinate about 200ml, and then collect 10ml of middle urine. Then stop urinating, do prostate massage and collect prostate fluid. Finally, 10ml of urine was collected again. Conduct microscopic examination and culture on each sample, and identify whether there is prostatitis or urethritis by comparing the number of bacterial colonies in the above samples.
4. Other laboratory tests: patients with prostatitis may have abnormal semen quality, such as increased white blood cells, non-liquefaction of semen, decreased blood sperm and sperm vitality.
The above is the specific introduction of the examination items that prostatitis patients need to do. I believe you have understood that the occurrence of this disease will cause great harm to the patients. If not treated in time, it is likely to cause very serious consequences. Therefore, after being diagnosed with this disease, the patients must be treated as soon as possible, so as to alleviate the disease as soon as possible.
