The Times of India recently asked gender experts to summarize the six most common lies men tell to women.
Lie 1: "No, you don't look fat." When preparing to attend the party, the wife asked her husband, "Do I look fat in this way?" At this point, the best answer is, "No, of course you don't look fat." Besides ignoring this question, men feel that this answer is the safest. Although they may lie a little, it won't ruin both parties' emotions or lead to an unhappy breakup.
Lie 2: "Let's talk about this matter later." Most men use this sentence to end marital disputes or prevent conflicts from escalating. In most cases, men don't really want to 'talk about this matter later', or rather, they don't want to talk about it at all. This kind of "cold treatment" can give both parties some time to understand a truth: it's not worth making a big fuss over trivial matters.
Lie three: "You remind me of movie stars." Men compare their girlfriends to female celebrities who have fallen in love, which can enhance their confidence. Of course, women should be humble.
Lie 4: "I enjoy being with your parents." The key to winning a woman's heart is winning her family. If a man really wants to pursue his girlfriend, he will definitely tolerate her parents and tell her that he enjoys spending time with her family.
Lie 5: "I'm sorry." Men occasionally use "I'm sorry," which can help women eliminate anger and turn tears into smiles. Men find that 'sorry' is the simplest way to solve all problems.
Lie 6: "I don't want any other women." In order not to harm women, men often say to women, "I don't want any other women," or "I've never seen a more beautiful woman than you." However, psychologists say that when faced with beautiful women in magazines, men often think wrong.
