The seven major preventive measures that can easily lead to ectopic pregnancy due to poor lifestyle habits are helpful for a smooth pregnancy
Ectopic pregnancy is a common disease that not only affects normal pregnancy, but also poses a serious threat to women's health and life safety. We must have good living habits in our daily lives.
How Ectopic Pregnancy Happens
1. Tubal inflammation: It is divided into tubal mucositis and peritubal inflammation, both of which are common causes of tubal pregnancy. Severe tubal mucositis can cause complete obstruction of the lumen and infertility. Inflammatory lesions around the fallopian tubes mainly occur in the mucous membrane or muscular layer of the fallopian tubes, often causing adhesions around the fallopian tubes, distortion of the fallopian tubes, narrowing of the lumen, and weakened peristalsis of the wall muscles, affecting the operation of the fertilized egg.
2. History of tubal pregnancy: Women who have previously had tubal pregnancy are highly likely to experience another tubal pregnancy after surgical treatment and recovery.
3. Placing an intrauterine device: The use of an intrauterine device itself does not increase the incidence of ectopic pregnancy, but when a woman becomes pregnant due to contraceptive failure, the chances of ectopic pregnancy are high.
4. Dysplasia or dysfunction of the fallopian tubes: When the fallopian tubes are underdeveloped, they are too long or have poor basal development or insufficient mucosal cilia. When the function of the female fallopian tubes is abnormal, pregnancy hormones cannot be regulated normally, affecting the normal operation of fertilized eggs.
5. Fertilized egg migration: The egg is fertilized in one side of the fallopian tube, and the fertilized egg enters the opposite fallopian tube through the uterine cavity or abdominal cavity, which is called fertilized egg migration. If the migration time is too long, the development of the fertilized egg increases, and it can be implanted in the opposite fallopian tube to form a tubal pregnancy.
6. Cause of disease: The compression of tumors around the fallopian tubes, such as uterine fibroids and ovarian tumors, can sometimes affect the smoothness of the fallopian tube lumen and prevent the movement of fertilized eggs. Endometriosis can increase the likelihood of fertilized eggs being implanted into the fallopian tubes.
7. Multiple induced abortions: Multiple induced abortions, endometrial trauma, difficulty in implanting embryos in the uterine cavity, transfer to other places for implantation, and occurrence of ectopic pregnancy.
8. Bad lifestyle habits: Long term smoking, excessive drinking, and taking ovulation promoting drugs in the women's restroom may cause ectopic pregnancy.
9. IVF: Pregnancy through normal channels also increases the probability of women developing ectopic pregnancy, let alone IVF. According to statistics, the likelihood of ectopic pregnancy in IVF ranges from 5% to 8%. When the fertilized egg enters the uterine cavity on the third day, it will take several more days to find a suitable location. During this period, the uterine cavity conditions are disrupted in any form, and the fertilized egg resides on the fallopian tube, causing ectopic pregnancy.
