Sexual Health
Note: Male erectile status is important for the research and treatment of sexual function
Men not only have unconscious erections in the morning, but also in deep sleep. This type of penis erection usually occurs in the intermittent rapid eye movement, which is also the dreaming stage. At this time, penile erection is generally not affected by psychological factors, and can more truly reflect the sexual function status of men. In clinic, this kind of erectile soft and hard condition provides a very important indicator for the research and treatment of sexual function.
When many men wake up in the morning, they will inadvertently find that their penis has been "choked" by urine: sometimes the erection is obvious and strong, and the men who understand this situation can't help laughing, thinking that it is a manifestation of sexual ability; If one day I find that the morning erection has disappeared, I will worry and think it is not good for me.
Generally speaking, men erect 3-5 times a night, with an average erection time of 15 minutes, but it can also be as long as 1 hour. If the structure and function of nerves, blood vessels and cavernous bodies are normal, the penis will have erections.
In the diagnosis of male organic ED, a professional hardness tester will also be used to detect the erectile status at night. The instrument is larger than the palm of the hand and can be fixed on the thigh. The other two skin rings are placed on the head and bottom of the penis. It can record the number of penile erections and the time and hardness of each erection overnight. This is important for the differential diagnosis of physiological and psychological ED. Some ED patients will find that they actually have no erectile dysfunction after such examination, and the problem of ED cannot be cured.
A German doctor once put forward the view that when a man is ill, the penile erection will disappear in the morning; After the body recovers, the phenomenon of penis erection will reappear in the morning.
However, it is not objective to observe the morning erectile status by oneself, and men can not judge whether they have ED by this alone. Sometimes excessive fatigue and other physical problems can also lead to abnormal erections at night. If there is unnecessary worry, it will enter a vicious circle of "the more worried, the worse, the more worried", and even the real emergence of ED.
