Male infertility, defined by the World Health Organization as one year, refers to a non contraceptive life history of at least 12 months without causing a woman to conceive. Primary male infertility refers to a condition in which a man never conceives a woman. Secondary male infertility refers to a man who has previously conceived a woman. In general, men with secondary infertility have a greater chance of restoring fertility than primary infertility.
At present, infertility has become a common disease. The normal value of sperm has dropped from over 60 million per milliliter to over 20 million per milliliter, which is considered normal.
1. Get more exercise. Research has shown that excessive obesity in men can lead to elevated temperatures in the groin, damage sperm growth, and lead to infertility. Therefore, controlling body weight within the standard range can improve sperm quality. However, exercise intensity should be moderate. Intensive exercise, such as marathons and long-distance cycling, can still raise the temperature of the testicles and disrupt the cool environment required for sperm growth. Cycling can also put fragile external testicular blood vessels at risk. Therefore, it is recommended to wear padded shorts and choose a bicycle with good shock absorption function when riding.
2. Avoid saunas and steam baths. High temperature steam baths directly harm sperm and inhibit sperm production.
3. Quit smoking. According to data, 44% of people believe that smoking is the most important factor in the decline in sperm count, so it is imperative to quit smoking.
4. Moderate alcohol consumption. Heavy alcohol consumption can lead to decreased sperm quality. Men should strictly follow the recommended amount of 14-28 standard glasses (8-9 grams of alcohol) per day and women should halve it.
5. Say no to the anesthetic. Anesthetics, drugs, and other substances can also cause great harm to sperm and can last for a long time.
6. Relax. Excessive mental stress also has a negative impact on sperm growth. So men should do something that can relax them, such as walking, bathing, and then enjoy sex.
7. Put your phone in your jacket pocket. Placing a mobile phone in your pants pocket, a laptop on your knee, and wearing tight pants can increase scrotal temperature and harm sperm, so you should keep your phone in your top pocket.
8. Eat more green vegetables. Green vegetables contain vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, selenium, and other components that are conducive to sperm growth. Nuts and fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, and should also be eaten more to help sperm cells grow.
9. Frequently go to the clinic for physical examination. Bacterial infection is also an important factor in male infertility. You should often go to a doctor and receive relevant tests for chlamydia and prostate cancer.
