Mobile phones or hurting male fertility are only 15 years old and difficult to confirm
In the era of increasingly developed communication facilities, mobile phones have become the most important tool for people to communicate with each other. Scientists have found that the number of sperm in men who often carry and use mobile phones can be reduced by up to 30%, thus reducing fertility.
Standby also has "lethality"
Research shows that men who wear mobile phones on their belts or in their pants pockets face the greatest risk. The number of sperm in men who often use mobile phones has decreased by nearly 30%. Many of the remaining sperm also showed abnormal activity, further reducing fertility.
Dr. Feyesh of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University of Segde, Hungary, said in the study: "Continued use of mobile phones may have adverse effects on sperm production and male fertility, reducing sperm concentration and swimming ability."
The damage mechanism remains unresolved
Unlike previous studies, researchers believe that mobile phones can also cause damage in standby mode. Although the mobile phone is not in use, it will continue to send signals and keep in touch with the nearest wireless electrode.
Previous studies believed that these launches were too short to cause damage. However, the researchers said that this conclusion needs to be further confirmed, and find out the causes and mechanisms of cell phone damage to sperm.
It's only 15 years since it came out, which is hard to prove
But Charles, professor emeritus of physics at the University of Nottingham, UK, said: "There is no conclusive evidence that mobile phones are harmful to health. Mobile phones have existed for about 15 years, but many serious diseases take longer to develop symptoms, which cannot be proved by this study."
Charles will announce later this year that he plans to carry out the world's largest research on the impact of mobile phones on health, and hopes to track 250000 people in at least 15 years.
