Studies at home and abroad have found that there are more than 50 kinds of drugs that have adverse effects on sexual function, which cannot but attract people's attention.
Cardiovascular drugs
Antihypertensive drugs have caused the most reports of ED (erectile dysfunction). It is generally believed that among antihypertensive drugs, diuretics and β- Receptor blockers.
In addition, the antiarrhythmic drug amiodarone and the anti-heart failure drug digoxin may also cause ED.
Gastrointestinal drugs
Cimetidine, ranitidine and Nizatidine are widely used gastrointestinal drugs, mainly used to treat peptic ulcer. More and more cases report that they can cause sexual dysfunction. For example, men who take cimetidine for a long time may have ED and sexual desire disappear.
Antidepressants
Depression, known as "mental cold", is not uncommon in modern society. Among the commonly used antidepressants, imipramine, new selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, clomipramine and amitriptyline can cause erectile dysfunction, abnormal ejaculation and lack of sexual desire.
Psychostimulants and narcotics
The most common are alcohol, nicotine, cocaine, heroin and marijuana. People often question the effect of alcohol on erectile function: "Isn't it easier to be sexually excited after drinking?" Here we ignore the difference between libido and erection. Alcohol can increase libido, but it will affect erectile function and reduce the rigidity of erection.
