After the age of 48, men will be happier than women! This is a research result published in the latest issue of the Journal of Happiness Research in the United States. Scientists have found that people of different ages and genders have vastly different feelings of happiness, and as they age, their happiness index also changes. Researchers from the University of Cambridge in the UK and the University of Southern California in the United States have studied the effects of various factors such as family, economy, career, and education level on happiness over a period of 10 years, and have written a survey report titled 'Satisfaction of Men and Women at Different Times'.
The report points out that family and financial conditions are the most important factors affecting a person's overall happiness. Whether male or female, 90% hope to have a happy marriage, and a stable relationship between two individuals will also have better financial conditions than a single person, which will increase the happiness of both men and women. Research has found that men are the least happy in their 20s and have particularly low levels of financial satisfaction, not because they earn less, but because they want too much. The head of this study, Anke Planiol, said.
The huge gap between ideals and reality can easily make young men feel frustrated. They always covet things they are temporarily unable to obtain, such as expensive sports cars and villas. This will lower their evaluation of happiness. Relatively speaking, women have much higher levels of happiness than men. But as age increases, families gradually stabilize, income increases, and men become happier.
Planiol said that as men enter middle age, they become closer to their dreams and more satisfied with their family life and financial situation, which makes them feel happier than women of the same age. This study also listed for the first time several age groups in which men's happiness exceeded that of women: at the age of 41, men's satisfaction with financial status exceeded that of women; At the age of 48, men have a higher overall sense of happiness than women; At the age of 64, men experience more happiness from their families than women.
