Abnormal number of testicles:
"Polyrchidism refers to more than two testicles, usually no more than three, with the left side being redundant to the right. This condition is extremely rare.". Excess testicles rarely develop normally, and long-term ectopic pregnancy can lead to atrophy, and there is also the possibility of malignant transformation. Anorchidism, which means that men have no testicles, is also relatively rare. Unilateral anorchidism is more common, and is often accompanied by contralateral cryptorchidism.
During the examination of the above patient, the testicle on one side of the patient was significantly enlarged (abnormal testicular size), with symptoms of fever and local pain. In addition, in the examination report, the patient's white blood cells were on the high side, and neutrophils were increased. Therefore, the doctor determined that the patient was suffering from orchitis.
Some readers may ask, is orchitis just a small inflammation that has such a serious impact on fertility? As the "delivery room" for sperm, the main function of the testicle is to produce sperm and secrete male hormones (testosterone). Once there is a problem with the testicle, it will affect the "quality" and "quantity" of sperm production and development, leading to some serious problems.
The harm of orchitis to men:
1. Induce serious diseases: varicocele, prostatitis, endocrine diseases, nephritis and other kidney diseases, urinary infection diseases, malignant tumors, etc.
2. Causes a decrease in male sexual function, or even a complete loss of sexual function.

The left testis weighs about 10.20 g (4.00~21.00 g), has a length diameter of 3.34 cm (2.14~4.65 cm), a width of 2.53 cm (1.71~3.23 cm) in front and rear diameters, and a thickness of 2.00 cm (1.00~2.87 cm) in left and right diameters. The right testis weighs about 10.70 g (4.60~18.50 g), a length diameter of 3.52 cm (2.17~4.83 cm), a width of 2.51 cm (1.86~3.46 cm) in front and rear diameters, and a thickness of 2.09 cm (1.24~2.79 cm) in left and right diameters.
