The storyteller is a female friend who is currently the general manager of a large enterprise. When I was young, I was ambitious and energetic. I was promoted to associate manager at the age of 26. This was the first time at that time. According to our company's system, it is young to be an assistant manager at the age of 35.
I haven't been promoted since I was an assistant manager at the age of 26 until I was 31. It was not easy for me to be promoted to the vice president at the age of 32. However, the senior management of the company promoted another person whose ability could not convince me because of ethics and youth.
I was very unconvinced and handed out my resignation the next day. However, the resignation was soon returned. The general manager called me to the office and said to me, "You can take a two-week leave for the time being. What's the matter?".
In fact, I have long been eager to leave my job and travel. I immediately asked the travel agency to arrange accommodation for me that day. I plan to start from Prague and travel west along Vienna, Salzburg and Munich. I flew to Prague the next day.
I settled down in Prague. As soon as I went shopping, I met the teddy bear. It was a toy bear taller than me. It was hairy, and its eyes were so cute. I stood there, absolutely fascinated.
When I asked the boss, I realized that the teddy bear was the first prize of the three-yuan red heart in the dart game. It was only for sale. I sighed, thinking how could I win three yuan in a row? I turned my head to go, only took two steps, and then reluctantly turned back. I told myself, at least try!
$1 for every four darts fired. So I bought four darts. After the four darts have been shot, don't mention the bull's-eye, not even the target. However, it is strange to say that after four darts, I suddenly have a feeling that I know how to shoot the darts.
I bought four more darts and shot them hard. My intuition was right. Three of them hit the heart and the one that missed the heart was quite close. I won. I shouted and jumped excitedly, and even the boss looked at me with an undeniable look.
In this way, I walked in the old city of Prague with a huge teddy bear, and everyone looked at me. I used to enjoy the sight, but soon I felt in trouble. I took the teddy bear to the post office and tried to pack it and mail it back to Taiwan.
I compared with the Czech postal staff on the spot and measured for half a day, until I saw the postage of the package they opened. I can't remember the detailed price. Anyway, it's a price that almost knocked me out.
I walked out of the post office with my teddy bear in my arms. The postage is enough for me to buy ten teddy bears in Taiwan. The problem is that Taiwan's teddy bears are not as cute as European teddy bears. Besides, leaving such a lovely teddy bear in Europe really makes people feel guilty of never giving up.
I had to bear the poisonous sunshine of Europe, from Prague, Vienna, Salzburg to Munich, holding the teddy bear all the way.
The teddy bear is fat and long, and it can't be folded, boxed, or checked in. Therefore, no matter what means of transportation I take, I have to spend a lot of time and even be asked to buy tickets for the teddy bear. I am often exhausted and have to deal with the children who rush to pick up.
In short, this trip to Europe, I was really ruined by it! Strangely, I was suddenly enlightened by the torture. The general manager called me to the office on the first day of returning to Taiwan.
What do you see in Europe? He asked. quite a lot. Do you have any experience? I told him the story of teddy bear. I've come up with one thing. I said. Oh? I was thinking, and I said: some things are indeed coveted, but they come too early, I'm afraid they are not good.
The general manager laughed. So he said: Have you decided to continue working? I nodded. He patted me on the shoulder and let me go.
When I walked out of the General Manager's office, I thought to myself that I was still fit for this job. So I continued to work until now.
