Several Causes of Penile Pain
1. Prostatitis
Prostate inflammation is a common cause of penile pain. The symptoms of prostatitis include abnormal urination, such as frequent urination and urethral burning during urination. Local symptoms such as discomfort in the posterior urethra, perineum, and anus, as well as increased swelling and pain from squatting, defecation, and prolonged sitting on chairs and stools.
2. Phimosis too long
If the foreskin is too long and not cleaned carefully, the accumulation of excessive dirt inside the foreskin can irritate the skin of the penis, causing allergies or inflammation, and ultimately leading to penile pain. Phimosis can also cause pain. Due to the narrow opening of the foreskin, the head of the penis cannot be exposed, which will inevitably produce a squeezing sensation and cause pain.
3. Genital herpes
Before the onset of the disease, the infected area may experience burning, itching, or pain for several days. Subsequently, obvious and visible ulceration will appear on the epidermis. Once these blister like ulcers gradually heal, the symptoms of pain will also disappear.
4. Frequent sexual activity
Excessive sexual activity can cause fatigue and pain in male sexual organs, so men should engage in sexual activity reasonably and appropriately, not too frequently.
5. Urethritis
Male genital pain is more common in urethritis, and other symptoms of urethritis include frequent urination, urgency, white dripping, redness and swelling, urethral pain, burning pain, hematuria, difficulty urinating, etc.
6. Varicocele
Male genital pain is also a common symptom of varicocele disease. Other symptoms include restlessness, anxiety, insomnia, malaise, impotence and so on. In severe cases, genital pain can involve the lower abdomen or inner thighs on the same side.
