Can ectopic pregnancy be detected with a pregnancy test stick?
It is impossible to detect ectopic pregnancy using a pregnancy test rod. A pregnancy test stick can only detect pregnancy and cannot detect the presence of ectopic pregnancy. There are many clinical examination methods for ectopic pregnancy, among which B-ultrasound is the most accurate and reliable method for diagnosing ectopic pregnancy.
B-ultrasound examination can clearly see the position, size, and shape of the gestational sac, embryo and fetal heart, determine whether it is a single or multiple pregnancy, understand whether it is a normal intrauterine pregnancy, and rule out the possibility of abnormal pregnancy.
1. Progesterone measurement: The serum P level in ectopic pregnancy is low, but relatively stable at 5-10 weeks of pregnancy, and a single measurement has significant diagnostic value. Although it is difficult to determine the absolute critical value between normal and abnormal P levels in pregnancy serum, serum P levels below 10ng/ml (radioimmunoassay) often indicate abnormal pregnancy, with an accuracy of approximately 90%.
2. HCG measurement: It is an important method for early diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy.
When ectopic pregnancy cannot be ruled out, diagnostic curettage can be performed and the endometrium can be obtained for pathological examination. However, there is no characteristic change in the endometrium of ectopic pregnancy, which can manifest as decidual tissue with high secretion or without A-S response, secretion, and proliferation. The changes in the endometrium are related to whether the patient has vaginal bleeding and the duration of vaginal bleeding, so diagnosing ectopic pregnancy with curettage alone has significant limitations.
How is it safest to have an abortion after one month of pregnancy
It is safer to undergo medication induced abortion or abortion surgery after one month of pregnancy. At present, the fetus is relatively small, and it is best to undergo abortion treatment within 7 weeks of pregnancy to minimize damage to the endometrium. Usually, attention should be paid to rest and adequate contraceptive measures should be taken to prevent recurrent miscarriage from causing infertility or habitual miscarriage that is not conducive to normal fertility. Do not have a room for one month after miscarriage, clean and hygienic the perineum, and reduce the possibility of gynecological inflammation. One week later, the color ultrasound examination of the uterine appendages clearly showed no residual embryonic tissue.
