With the enhancement of people's awareness of health, more and more people are joining the ranks of physical fitness exercises. However, exercise, which is a very beneficial activity for the body, can also cause harm if handled improperly. Here, the editor reminds fitness enthusiasts that accidental injuries should be avoided during fitness.
1. Muscle injury
In addition to muscle contusion caused by direct external forces, muscle injury is mainly caused by indirect external forces. After a muscle strain, the wound is painful, swollen, tender, cramped, and hard to touch. When an injured muscle performs an active contraction or passive lengthening action, the pain increases.
2. Sudden death
Sudden cardiac death includes two types: quiet type and exercise type. Of these, 81% of sudden deaths are quiet, which are caused by sudden coronary heart disease and pulmonary embolism. In addition to sudden death caused by heart disease, excessive exercise is also an important cause of sudden death. For example, during long-distance running exercises, the heart's circulatory system can become overwhelmed, requiring a sudden increase in the amount of blood and oxygen, while the supply is relatively reduced. In this state of insufficient blood and oxygen supply, runners' hearts may experience acute ischemia, followed by sudden cardiac arrest and interruption of cerebral blood flow. "When running, it is necessary to ensure the safety of exercise. If you feel unwell during running, stop immediately and do not push hard to avoid accidents.". 5. Tennis elbow
This symptom is not only caused by tennis, but also by play badminton, table tennis and other sports. Patients often experience pain on the outside of their elbows, reduced grip strength, and poor strength, making it very difficult to play backhand. This is mainly caused by inflammation at the point of the muscle tendon. Acute pain after exercise should be treated with cold compress, oral, and topical anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs. Chronic inflammation can be treated with physical therapy and the use of elbow pads.
3. Abdominal tingling
Lateral abdominal pain mainly occurs in people who stop exercising for a period of time, resume early exercise training, or occasionally participate in physical activity. It is generally believed that lateral abdominal pain is a hypoxic pain caused by insufficient blood flow to the respiratory muscles during exercise. Severe exercise or gas accumulation in the intestines immediately after meals can also be an important cause of flank pain.
4. Knee joint ligament and meniscus injury
The knee ligament is important for stabilizing the joint. Sprains and collisions during exercise are extremely prone to ligament tears, joint instability, swelling and pain after activity, and other symptoms. The meniscus is the two cartilage pads within the knee joint and is the shock absorber of the human body. Tearing of the meniscus after injury can cause joint sounds, and pain increases during squatting. If knee ligament and meniscus injuries are not detected in a timely manner, they can easily be repeatedly injured during continued activity, leading to traumatic synovitis and articular cartilage wear, leading to early joint degradation.
