Throughout the entire treatment process, young children focus on nourishing the spleen and taking care of their spleen and stomach function at all times. For patients with multiple relapses, adhering to traditional Chinese medicine to nourish the spleen and kidney is a key measure to prevent and treat kidney disease recurrence and hormone dependence. Commonly used formulas and medicines include Shenling Baizhu San, Buzhong Yiqi Tang, Xiangsha Liujunzi Tang with Jiaosan Xian and Huoxiang Zhengqi San, Erchen Tang, Gegen Qinlian Tang, etc., and medication is added or reduced according to the symptoms. The total effective rate is 92.16%. Most patients with nephrotic syndrome edema have normal or even increased blood volume, which may not necessarily decrease. Plasma renin is normal or at a low level, suggesting that sodium retention in nephrotic syndrome is due to the disorder of kidney regulating sodium balance, but not related to the activation of renin angiotensin aldosterone system by low blood volume. The occurrence of edema in nephrotic syndrome cannot be explained solely by one mechanism.
The combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine is used to treat children with nephrotic syndrome. The basic formula is modified Guizhi Fuling Tang, and according to the clinical manifestations of the children, the differentiation and classification are the same as above. In the type of Qi deficiency and blood stasis, the formula is selected to be Buyang Huanwu Tang. The total effective rate is 91.21%. Compared with the pure Western medicine treatment group of 40 cases, the total effective rate was 70%. After statistical analysis, there was a significant difference in the total effective rate between the two groups (P<0.05). Adopting a combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine for treatment, in addition to the spleen kidney yang deficiency type and liver kidney yin deficiency type, the spleen deficiency dampness stagnation type was also proposed. The total effective rate of treating nephrotic syndrome was 92.3% with the combination of Buzhong Yiqi Tang and Wuling San.
